This CLT20 2, The Royal Challengers of Bangalore look boosted in the presence of the Foreign Trio of Jacques Kallis, Ross Taylor and Cameron While who have preferred playing for the Men in Red than their home teams.
The Finalists of Indian Premier League 2 had been expected a perform better in the third edition of IPL. But, we a found of lot of Ups and Downs in them. They were floaters between 2,3 and 4 positions in the table during the league stage. But at the end, RCB were placed in third place after the loss in the Semi Final against Mumbai Indians. Ross Taylor was a big expectation in this year’s after his performance in CL 1.
But he was not consistent, but we got in an great opening batsman in Jacques Kallis who was not out for the first few matches. Bowling was just good. RCB also got two great pacers in Abhimanyu Mithun and R Vinay Kumar. Anil Kumble, The Old Fox was as usual spinning and troubling the batsmen. Even, youngsters like Virat Kohli got in to prove themselves. Rahul Dravid was not much into the action his time, but whatever he contributed didn’t go a waste.
RCB Squad: Anil Kumble , Rahul Dravid, Robin Uthappa , Manish Pandey, Praveen Kumar , R Vinay Kumar, Virat Kohli , Cameron White, Ross Taylor, Dale Steyn, Jacques Kallis, Dillon du Preez, B Akhil, Abhimanyu Mithun , Nayan Doshi
Its cheering time for the Bangalore team as they have retained the 3 Foreign Trio- Jacques Kallis, Ross Taylor and Cameron White for the Edition 2 of Champions League.
Robin Uthappa and Jacques Kallis will probably open the innings. Virat Kohli, Rahul Dravid, Manish Pandey are the middle order batsmen. The bowling of the team looks strong with the likes of Dale Steyn, Praveen Kumar, Abhimanyu Mithyun, V Kumar and not the forget the Captain Anil Kumble.
With the inclusion of Dillon du Preez, The RCB all rounding strength looks good as he will accompany big all rounders like Jacques Kallis, and Cameron White.
HOW CL WILL BE FOR THEM?
The team is placed in a Group along with the fiercer South Australian Red Backs, Our Mumbai Indians and Highveld Lions. Mallya’s boys will start of the Campaign playing against the likes of West Indian Sarwan led Guyana on September 12th in Centurion. It surely looks a tough competition!
Like the RCBians had luck in IPL 2, its the Venue South Africa. They will be back in South Africa for CL 2. Luck looks better on them.
