Dhoni married with Childhood friend

Current Indian Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni yesterday married his Childhood Friend, Sakshi Singh Rawat  in a private ceremony attended only by family members, close friends and some cricketers.

The 28 Old Indian Wicketkeeper Batsman, was engaged to the Hotel Management Student the Day before the Marriage.

The wedding at the  Vishranti Resorts at Bidhauli, about 25km from Dehradun, was strictly a private affair with only 50-60 close relatives from both sides.

Harbhajan Singh, Ashish Nehra, RP Singh, Suresh Raina and Rohit Sharma were among Dhoni’s cricketing friends who were present in the Ceremony. CSK secretary N Srinivasan and BCCI President Shashank Manohar too were present along with the Cricketers.

A reception in Mumbai will be held on July 7th, which eventually is Dhoni’s 29th birthday. Dhoni and Sakshi, who hails from Aurangabad, had been school friends at DAV, Shamily in Ranchi.

Media were not allowed inside the resort as they had to wait 1 KM outside the boundary of resort to cover the news which came out in drips. Dhoni in a ‘black sherwani’ came on a horseback at the bride’s place and marriage rituals commenced around 8 pm. Dressed in ‘churidar-pyjama’, the bride was looking dazzling.
