The Indian Saviour- A poem

The Indian Saviour

Here comes our captain hailing from Jharkhand,

Unke saat khelna hota hai dushmano ke liye dand.

Because everyone knows jo karde sabko hakka bakka,

Woh hai Captain Mahi ka dhamaka.

From every angle this wicket keeper batsman is scintillating,

And on the field, he is 100% happening.

2007 tha unke liye very lucky,

Unke ghor dushman bane Aussie Captain Ricky.

Inaugural T20 world cup mein humko jeetaya,

Aur India shaan aur maan dilaya.

When he steps on the pitch this year,

In the hearts of enemies reigns fear,

As to him a win is very dear.

His performance is always there in full gear.

So in the game, he is as famous as Shakespeare’s King Lear,

For this, he was the ICC ODI player of the year,

Winning every fan’s praise and cheer.

History mein for the first time India in tests, became no. one,

World mein consider hone laga yeh team ek solid tuphaan,

Aur sab India ke jaya geet kar ne lage gaan.

So, I say “Hats off to Captain Marvel”,

One must say, he is very noble.

Unke leadership mein the blues win the crown,

Without him the team will drown,

Bringing to the face of the fans’  a big frown.

Finally I end with, “ Three Cheers to our stylish Captain Cool”,

For in his presence, the opposite skipper looks a complete fool…
