Sharad Pawar- The New ICC Chief

John Howard

Sharad Pawar sets to become the ICC Chief this week as he will take over the post from David Morgan. This is pointless. Before Morgan, we all know the fraud done by Jagmohan Dalmia. He was into illegal activities making money both as ICC and BCCI President. Later, he was sacked.

Arun Jaitey, DDCA President didn’t even care to make a proper Kotla pitch during the Indo- Lanka ODI series. The point here is why is a Politician coming into Cricket. I had already written a post on “CRICKET+POLITICS=CORRUPTION” in my earlier days of blogging.

Cricket is such a marvelous game and is being spoiled by unrelated people to Cricket. Sharad Pawar is finds time only to manage his NCP Party, as a Agriculture Minister and to sit in the Parliament. How will he manage the Whole World’s Cricket. And next year is most critical. ICC 2011 Cricket World Cup, T20 World Cup and many big series in row.

This nomination surely should have been gone to John Howard who was earlier nominated for it. But, Howard took a sudden hit for a six.

Cricket is surely going to get even more spoiled with Sharad Pawar taking this position. There is some strategy if a… Sunil Gavaskar or some other cricket greats take this highest position.

But what does the Sharad Pawars or the Dalmias or Jaitleys know about Cricket. They might know it is a bat and ball game. Their first aim will be not to improve Cricket but think how to make money.
