CL T20 changes format

The Ola is going sing again. This time it is to be played in The Rainbow Nation- South Africa. Let it not be a flop like the IPL 3 with match fixings and money machines.

The IPL governing council has totally changed the format of the Champions League 2010 Edition. 10 top teams from the World Cricket Leagues will participate in two groups and the top two teams from each  group will proceed to the Semi Finals.

IPL 3 runners up Mumbai Indians will take on Highveld Lions in the Opening game.

Mumbai Indians and IPL-3’s third-placed outfit Royal Challengers Bangalore have been placed in Group B along with the Lions, South Australia Redbacks, and a team from the West Indies

IPL Champs Chennai Super Kings, are in Group A alongside the T20 champions from Australia, South Africa, New Zealand and Sri Lanka.

The final would be held in Johannesburg on September 26 while Durban and Centurion have been given the semi-finals on September 24 and 25 respectively.

Group B: Mumbai Indians, Highveld Lions, South Australian Redbacks, Royal Challengers Bangalore, West Indies Domestic T20 Champions.
