Deepika, Akon in opening ceremony of IPL 3
The IPL fever is back. It has started. Even more than IPL 1 and 2, people are mad about this game. Every team is balanced and is set to have a superb game.
IPL this year is going to be even more bigger than the older versions. So, we will have a even bigger opening ceremony. Mumbai’s opening ceremony is even to be bigger.
It will all start with a performance by an international artist Ali Campbell of the British reggae band UB40 who will croon his all-time massive hit song, Can’t Help Falling in Love and the Ageless Bjorn Again will entertain the DY Patil audiences with Abba’s super hit Dancing Queen.
Indian Bollywood star, Deepika Padukone with her breathtaking performance with a group of 40 dancers on stage in contrast to Katrina with Akon last year. Deepika will perform to a medley of I Gotta Feeling by Black Eyed Peas, Uff Teri Ada from Karthik Calling Karthik and Twist from Love Aaj Kal.
Then the legendary Lionel Richie comes on the stage followed by rapper Akon.
Sundar Raman, CEO, IPL said:-
Day 1 of the IPL tournament kicks off with an opening ceremony before the match, on Friday evening. It will be a visually spectacular show. The opening ceremony will begin at 6.45 pm at the DY Patil Sports Stadium in Mumbai. After the match concludes, IPL officials and players will proceed to a plush city hotel to attend the after-match party-cum-fashion show.
