Is Jadeja the guy for India’s search of genuine all rounder?

If Jadeja is the genuine all rounder and does well, the long time worry of the Indian team of finding an all rounder might be ended.

Indian team has a very long worry of getting players like Flintoff and Kallis if not them they even don’t have players like Brad Hodge and Shakib-al Hasan.

But this problem might be ended now as Ravindra Jadeja, RJ as i call him is doing well in ODIs for the Indian team.

The 21 year old boy played his first ODI against the Lankans this February. The Saurashtra all rounder bats left handed and bowls left arm orthodox.

He scored 53 for West Zone on his first-class debut in the 2006-07 Duleep Trophy and has been an important member of the Under-19 set-up. He was part of the U-19 team that lost the final of the World Cup in 2006 to Pakistan but bowled a crucial spell of 2 for 25 to bowl India to victory in the final of the 2008 tournament in Malaysia. Jadeja was part of the Rajasthan Royals, the inaugural IPL champions. He caught the attention of the national selectors with his strong all-round showing in the 2008-09 Ranji Trophy – 42 wickets and 739 runs – and was promptly picked for the ODI series in Sri Lanka.

Jadeja and Sachin guide India to a outstanding victory.

After a decent perfomance with the bat, the Lankans were ready to rule the pitch. But as usually Sehwag and Tendulkar started of with their aggression. Tendulkar hit 2 fours in 5rd over. Viru scored a blistering 44 of just 28 balls which helped India to start of well. But unfortunately, attempting an outside off stump delivery of Welegedara, Sehwag hit it to the safe pair of hands of Dilshan.

The Master started of really well .Departure of Sehwag did not harm India’s good run. Gambhir also gave a good stand to Tendulkar. But was back to the pavilion after he knocked the ball straight to the bowler S.Randiv for 32 of 52 deliveries.

The next batsman in was Yuvraj Singh who started with timing the ball really well. But couldn’t give a proper stand with the Mastero as he was struck by a quick delivery by Welegedara edging it to the Lankan Skipper. On the other hand the Master blaster scored his 73rd ODI fifty and was in a very good touch.

India closing to the target of 240 with Dinesh Karthik and The Master on the crease. Tendulkar needed 13 for his ton and India needing 9 for an outstanding victory. The Mastero was just 4 runs short of his next ODI ton but Karthik leaded India to a emphatic win thrashing the Lions and take a cruise lead of 2-1.
