Waqar Younis all set to become Paki coach
The Banana swing bowler of Pakistan, Waqar Younis is all set to become Pakistan’s 4th coach in just 3 years after Bob Woolmer, Geoff Lawson and Intikhab Alam.
But it won’t be as easy as he bowls the Banana Swinger. It has been a tough time as the coach for Pakistan.
Last 15 years, there has been at least 10 Pakistani coaches.
Waqar Younis, retired after the 2003 World Cup as captain after taking 373 Test and 416 one-day wickets, then became the bowling and fielding coach on Pakistan’s tour to Australia.
Waqar will have a partner along side him, Ijaz Ahmed who will be the fielding coach of Pakistan. Ijaz was recently the Under 19 Pakistan Coach who were the runners up of the U-19 World Cup in the Kiwi land.
Waqar who stays in Australia told to the media-
I believe that if the board does hire a foreign coach as consultant on series to series basis it is a good opportunity for me to learn and exchange ideas. In modern day cricket you need a combination of ideas and planning to do well.
Lets see how long does Waqar stays.!!!
